Sweet Bakery by Jonah Whitfield
Flour on the bench before sunrise: how our little bakery turns plain dough into the boxes regulars carry home.
Every Saltbrook morning starts the same way: flour on the bench, butter at room temperature, and the ovens roaring before sunrise. In this story we open the bakery doors and show how a tray of plain dough becomes the boxes our regulars carry home.
We bake in small batches through the day, so the counter is never more than a few hours from the oven. Vanilla sponge, chocolate swirl, raspberry ripple — each recipe is scaled from the notebook our founder started with twelve years ago.
Come by before nine and you will catch the first frostings of the day. Come by after three and you will catch the smell of tomorrow’s shortbread.
